Angi Kuun-Potgieter is a charcoal artist born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Growing up in a highly artistic and creative household, she was surrounded by inspiration from an early age. Her family includes fashion designers, cake designers, and her father, a luthier who crafts instruments that resemble works of art. This environment played a significant role in shaping her artistic journey.
She’s been dabbling in many mediums over the years but her true passion lies in the mastery of realism and hyperrealism through charcoal. She is particularly “drawn” to creating highly detailed, emotionally expressive portraits of musicians.
